Respect for human life and nature

Armadillo in the wild Respect for human life and nature

INPA Parket strongly believes in giving back what you take from nature. We are proud owners of 30,000 hectares of forest in Bolivia. Without doubt this is a great responsibility. We are FSC certified, from harvesting to finished product. And we make sustainable agreements with the local population. Before we settled in Bolivia the area was very hard to reach. Now there is a complete road, water and energy infrastructure. And only selective harvesting takes place.

Trunk numbering Mapping out every tree

All trees are mapped out gradually. Our forest is divided into blocks. Trees are harvested selectively in each block. The block is then closed for at least 25 years and accessible only to scientists carrying out research. Each surveyed tree and harvested log bears a label that accompanies it permanently through the entire processing to finished product.

Reforestation project Reforestation

Till 2004 Paraguay was third in the list of countries with the highest deforestation rates in the world. Many trees were harvested in order to increase the production of soy beans and to intensify cattle breeding. Reforestation is crucial to stop erosion and to restore the balance of the ecosystem. INPA Parket feels responsible for this and therefore takes part in several reforestation projects in Paraguay.
